Sole Shareholder

The Sole Shareholder of Development Bank is Baiterek National Managing Holding JSC (hereinafter – Baiterek Holding). Baiterek Holding was established in order to optimize the management system of development institutions, financial organizations and the development of the national economy by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 571 dated May 22, 2013.

The main task of Baiterek Holding is to manage the blocks of shares (participation shares) of national development institutions, national companies and other legal entities owned by it and transferred to trust management.

Mission of Baiterek Holding is Development of competitive business, providing housing and strengthening food security on the principles of social responsibility (source: baiterek.gov.kz).

Vision – a proactive management holding that is qualitatively transforming the structure of Kazakhstan’s economy by developing new sectoral «growth points» (source: baiterek.gov.kz).

Key tasks:

• development of non-primary sectors of the economy;
• development of entrepreneurship;
• development of the manufacturing industry;
• supporting exports of non-resource products;
• increasing labour productivity;
• development of a competitive agro-industrial complex;
• increasing the investment attractiveness of the economy;
• improving the welfare of the population.
