The Long-term development strategy of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Development Bank) was approved by the decision of the Board of Directors on July 14, 2014 (Minutes No. 156) and defines strategic goals and key development directions until 2023.

In 2017, by the decision of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank, the development strategy was updated for the first time, taking into account the current macroeconomic situation and new initiatives at that time.

The second update of the strategy in 2021 is due to the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the situation in the country and the main directions of domestic and foreign policy, changes made to the documents of the state planning system, as well as changes in the internal and external environment that have a significant impact on the activities of the Development Bank.

In accordance with the development strategy until 2023, the main strategic directions of the Development Bank’s activities for the planned period are:

Fostering national economic growth in partnership with business.
Managing financial resources to meet business needs.
Improving operations.

The strategic targets of the Bank in the above areas for the period up to 2023 are:
