Development Bank of Kazakhstan (a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, hereinafter – DBK, the Bank), announces the completion of dividend payments to its sole shareholder on ordinary shares for 2025.
The Bank paid dividends for 2025 in full, transferring more than KZT 55.7 billion to its sole shareholder. The dividend per ordinary share amounted to KZT 26,313.38.
This result was made possible by systematic efforts to improve the quality of the loan portfolio, diversify assets and reduce the share of non-performing loans. DBK’s NPL ratio currently stands at 0.49%. The fulfilment of planned obligations to the shareholder confirms that DBK maintains its position as a financially stable development institution.
Dividend payments of this scale have a positive impact on Kazakhstan’s economy in three key areas. First, the funds received expand the investment capacity of Baiterek Holding, allowing profits to be reinvested in other sectors of the economy, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and social projects. Second, the payment contributes to the growth of the Group’s internal profitability and confirms the quality of its asset management. Third, it sends an important signal to the market and investors: stable financial performance and sound asset quality support DBK’s international credit ratings. In the long term, this may help reduce the cost of attracting foreign capital to finance Kazakhstan’s industrial projects.
“The dividend payment is the result of the Bank’s prudent lending policy. We focus on financing promising and economically viable projects in the non-resource sector. Current indicators show that risks remain under strict control and that the Bank is effectively fulfilling its mandate. DBK continues to contribute to the modernisation of Kazakhstan’s economy while remaining a stable source of long-term financing for the country’s large-scale industry and infrastructure,” said Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of DBK.
