Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC took part in the Berne Union meeting in Astana, which brought together 236 delegates from 45 countries. The forum focused on international financing and infrastructure development.
A key event for DBK was the signing of a Memorandum with the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-SURE). The agreement provides for the launch of an on-lending programme to attract financing for projects in Kazakhstan related to Korean technologies and investments.
Logistics, energy, manufacturing and green technologies have been identified as priority areas of cooperation.
Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Management Board of DBK, spoke at a session of the MLT Committee, where he addressed political risk insurance in the mining sector and highlighted the Bank’s role in attracting private investment into infrastructure and processing projects.
The DBK delegation also held talks with foreign export credit agencies to discuss new investment opportunities.
