The Development Bank of Kazakhstan joined the UN Global Compact

Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (a subsidiary of «Baiterek» NMH JSC) has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the largest international initiative for sustainable business development at the global level. The Bank's accession to the agreement confirms its commitment to global sustainable development goals.

«The Bank strives to meet the requirements of international agreements and national standards in the field of sustainable development. The Bank’s accession to the UN Global Compact is another step in this direction and reflects our willingness to follow the main principles of the treaty, including respect for human rights, support for labour standards and environmental responsibility», - Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the DBK Board, comments.

It should be noted that since 1999, the UN Global Compact has been the world's largest voluntary initiative in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development and has united more than 20 thousand companies around the world, including 69 from Kazakhstan.
