Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, hereinafter referred to as the Bank, DBK) and Qazaq Global Food JV LLP signed an agreement to open a credit line for the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a fruit and vegetable processing plant, the production of fruit juice concentrates, as well as vegetable and fruit purees with infrastructure storage and packaging. The total cost of the project is 9.5billion tenge.
The new plant will process up to 70,000 tons of fruits and vegetables per year. The planned volume of finished products will be up to 6,150 tons of concentrated juice and 6,700 tons of vegetable and fruit purees annually.
The facility is scheduled to be commissioned in April 2026. All products will meet the requirements of Kazakhstan and international quality standards and will be targeted at foreign and domestic markets.
The plant is planned to be built on the territory of the Yenbekshikazakh district in the Almaty region. The choice of the site is determined by a number of factors: convenient location in relation to the main suppliers of raw materials and consumers of apple storage services, as well as transport accessibility, which facilitates the delivery of raw materials and reduces the cost of its transportation by intermediaries or farmers.
Goknur Gida, Turkey's largest company for processing and growing fruits, organic juices, concentrates and purees, is a strategic partner in the project.
The company acts as the main supplier of technological equipment, and also provides 100% purchase of finished products under the (offtake contract).
The Qazaq Global Food JV LLP project will contribute to reducing import dependence, developing export potential and modernizing the agro-industrial sector. The launch of the project will also have a positive impact on the development of the region – 96 permanent jobs are planned to be created at the enterprise.
