In total, more than 20 participants took part in the photo contest, providing about 40 works depicting large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects implemented with the direct participation of the Development Bank. According to DBK representatives, the goal of the event is to expose and promote enterprises that form the domestic export potential and non-resource base, as well as raise the country to a completely new, competitive level.

“This year the Bank is celebrating its 20^th anniversary. During this time we have created 71 new enterprises and modernized 50 industrial facilities. With funding from the Bank, about 30.2 thousand permanent jobs were created. It’s quite challenging to imagine and realize these numbers, which is why we decided to launch a photo contest that would visually show the effect of DBK’s work. We can honor what have been achieved through the works of the participants. And now, summing up the results, we are glad that our initiative has echoed in the hearts of Kazakhstani citizens. With all my heart I congratulate the winners and wish them further success”, noted Abay Sarkulov, Chairman of the Management Board of DBK.

According to the terms of the contest, each participant could send maximum 3 pictures of dynamic technological process or interesting life moment from any manufacturing enterprise financed by the Development Bank. Contest photos were posted on the Development Bank’s corporate website, where everyone could vote for their favorite work. Photos of concentrating factory of KazMinerals Aktogay LLP in East Kazakhstan, coal preparation plant of Qaz Carbon LLP and ferroalloy plant of YDD CORPORATION LLP in Karaganda, oil engineering plant of AtyrauNefteMash LLP and plant of KazAzot JSC were evaluated in the contest.

will be awarded with a cash prize in the amount of KZT 100,000.
